Late last year, Google implemented several new changes to Chrome on Android, including some features that are currently in the works. These include a new UI for Chrome's new tab page , a screenshot editor , a custom sharing form , a friendly UI for tab groups , and some minor changes to notification requests . Now we believe that Google is working on replacing the old voice UI in the Chrome address bar with the new Google Assistant . In Chromium Gerrit, we found two new commands on the subject of "Voice Help". Although the bug tracker for these commits is private, we can get some information from comments and code changes.
Comments and code changes show that after Buy Bulk SMS Service combining tasks, a new flag named "Omnibox Assistant Voice Search" will appear in chrome: // flags # omnibox-assistant-voice-search for Android devices. According to its description, the new flag "Uses assistant for omnibox voice requests". The idea of this change is to send the intention to the Google App to launch Google's Assistant when the user presses the voice search button in the URL address bar / URL bar / omnibox. Currently, when a user clicks the voice search button in Chrome, it will see the old Android Voice Search UI like the screenshot below.
Now Google is developing this feature to send intent to Google App using what is called Deep Link, although Googler to change this code says that the plan is to go to V1 of the feature. Another Googler agreed with the code change, saying that there is work to be done before making the change, because the implementation of the verb does not send the Google Web Server (GWS) search request to any device, the operation of the system breaks the default search and doesn't work with search query extraction. Google plans to release the feature in version 85, which is currently scheduled to go into stable mode during the week of September 15, 2020.
